SOCIAL CLUB EXCLUSIVE VIDEO ↓Augusta Distillery Small Batch Bourbon is exactly the kind of bottle that fills a gap you didn’t realize was missing. Known more for premium, higher-priced releases, Augusta steps into the mid-shelf space here with something more approachable and surprisingly complete.
At 107.4 proof, unfiltered, and built as a small batch (reportedly just a handful of barrels), this isn’t trying to reinvent bourbon. It’s trying to deliver a clean, balanced, everyday pour with just enough character to keep you coming back. And for the most part, it succeeds.
This is sourced Kentucky bourbon for now, as Augusta’s own distillate continues to age. But with blender Alex Castle guiding the profile, it already feels intentional. Less about showing off, more about getting it right.
A Much-Needed Middle Ground
On the shelf, Augusta continues to do what it does well. The black, white, and gold design language is clean, confident, and just a little playful. There’s a lot of information on the label, which works in its favor, even if it edges toward busy.
In hand, the taller bottle and proportions feel deliberate. It looks like a bottle you’d reach for regularly, not just admire.
And that’s really the point of this release. This isn’t a special-occasion Augusta. It’s a Wednesday night Augusta.
