Green River Distilling Co. thinks that's bullsh!t. And they're putting $20 behind it.
On November 6, the Kentucky bourbon brand announced its Bullsh!t Refund, a limited-time promotion running through November 20.
How the Bullsh!t Refund Works
Fans can visit Green River's refund page and submit a receipt showing at least $20 in qualifying live-event expenses, including tickets, parking, concessions, and merchandise.
Green River's online Bullsh!t Detector gives participants a playful assessment of their spending, and approved submissions receive $20 through Venmo.
The promotion isn't limited to football. Other qualifying live events are included.
Refunds are limited to one per person while funds last. Alcohol purchases don't count toward the minimum, and additional eligibility requirements and exclusions apply.
Bourbon Without the Bullsh!t
The promotion builds on Green River's Bourbon Without the Bullsh!t positioning, which emphasizes quality whiskey at an approachable price.
According to figures cited by Green River from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, sporting-event admission prices increased 123% between 2000 and 2025, compared with an 87% increase in overall consumer prices.
Green River can't do much about ticket prices, but it's offering a little relief from the bill.

We like this one. Green River has built a reputation for delivering good whiskey at reasonable prices, so calling out the cost of being a sports fan feels pretty on-brand.
Sure, it's a marketing promotion. But putting money back in people's pockets without requiring a whiskey purchase? That's something we can get behind.
